A friend’s young gyrfalcon. I’m always amazed by how playful - even puppy-like - young gyrs are - this beastiegirl is no exception.

Awwww…
Gyrs are like puppies. Even when they grow up, especially tiercels.
My Gyr- Prairie tiercel was stolen this spring and so far possible replacements have fallen through (partially because breeders failed, partly because of penury). I miss my old hawk. Envy! (And Pluvi is getting my other favorite, a Gos).
