Geez- I was expecting “….the lightning bugs were wrestled to the ground and after continuing to resist arrest were subdued with a taser device. The suspended officers were not available for comment.”

This clipping is wonderful. May I ask if it’s from Deering, Maine?
It also reminds me of the Steampunk Jar of Articulated Fireflies. Have you seen it? It’s not to be missed. A lovely blend of the natural and romantic with the mechanical.

M - glad you found me, especially because I now know about Curious Expeditions. Wonderful stuff. The clipping is from Deering, NH - close! I’d seen the jar, but it’s good to have any excuse to look at it again. The knife switch is perfect.
